This set of figures represent the Peking opera renditions of Zhu Bajie and Sun Wukong, two of the humorous companions from Journey to the West. Zhu Bajie, or “Pig”, represents desire, while Sun Wukong, or “Monkey”, represents intellect. Throughout the story, they are frequently at odds with each other. They only agree a handful of times and it always involves food or retaliation. Magen painted these blank, 4″ Kidrobot Bub and Foomi figures with acrylic and oil paints.
